Intercity Bus (IC)

Intercity buses are operated within the limits of a city, by an auto transportation company in the business of transporting persons for compensation as a common carrier. The vehicle must be operated exclusively intrastate over regular routes.

A transit bus is used in a transportation system within a given city or adjacent cities and may include a route which extends 20 miles from the city limits. Registration tax is based on the gross weight of the vehicle and the vehicle's model year.
